Anytime I open up my email archives to search for information, I leave the search with my query still open, my heart freshly broken and, ‘How I ever managed to get this far at all…?’

Despair, understanding, perspective, anger, frustration,
and most of all,
****Recognizing a few people who tried to reach me and I never knew….****

This fills my heart back up…
And cools the steam burning hot,
scalding my spine,
leaving scars no one sees.

And I cry for hours.

A Greek word meaning TO DESTROY has the same sound as HELEN’s name. Obviously, Hell is the English equivalent of the pun. But I prefer not to use it, even at the expense of fidelity. Hell seems nowadays to lack dignity.

If you take everything I put up on the internet literally, please check your brain. It’s hard to be sardonic when you are flinging balls of wit back and forth in a room full of funhouse mirrors. Comprends-tu? Bon. Alors, je vais commencer, encore!

Anecdote: What’s really awesome about #DJBreitbart — When I first started using Twitter, AB and I would get into late night ‘YouTube Music Video Rallies.’ He’d send me these AWFUL 80s-bad-hair-rock-bands.

I’d slam him back with stuff like Randy Newman’s POLITICAL SCIENCE or Ani DiFranco’s UNTOUCHABLE FACE. The BFG would eventually shuffle by and insist I proxy tweet, so, hence, IF I HAD A HAMMER sung by Telly and Shatner’s ROCKETMAN got thrown into the mix. Talk about a wack Playlist.

And just like the TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART (THE LITERAL VERSION) is gone, so is he. Despite where your opinions are about Andrew’s work, I knew him as a friend, a very good friend, and I will miss the laughter so much.

***Hope you are rockin’ it up there with the Snow-man and getting a kick out of what the folks are doing to keep it rockin’ over here for ya’.***

I don’t know much about this new technology and whether it is good or bad or indicative of the renaissance or the apocalypse, BUT, I do know how it has suddenly brought so many inspirational people out from the ether. So, thanks internet. Fight for your right to free speech by supporting creator owned content. Otherwise, we’ll have to deal with fees and free speech will be a right paid for, not an inalienable one. Worse, delegated to and by commercial entities. I like you all, so, let’s not allow for this to go away. I like learning.

I hope all will be well. We must be patient: but I
cannot choose but weep, to think they should lay him
i’ the cold ground. My brother shall know of it:
and so I thank you for your good counsel. Come, my
coach! Good night, ladies; good night, sweet ladies;
good night, good night.

Ophelia’s last words to King Claudius and Queen Gertrude. She is then escorted out by Horatio. We do not see her alive again.

I think I get more attention on Twitter and Tumblr when I am posting only on two subjects: my boyfriend and my breasts. Is this true?

Growing up, my father’s library was the transformative place where I began reading the works of Houseman, Tennyson, Shakespeare, Conrad, Kipling, and more.

Not because I knew of them as literary legends.

But because the books looked so cool. Very simple, folks.

It is not opium which makes me work but its absence, and in order for me to feel its absence it must from time to time be present.

Antonin Artaud (via silveronthelining)

There is risk involved, but in the present circumstances, I believe it is a risk worth running. I do not believe we have managed to revitalize the world we live in, and I do not believe it is worth the trouble of clinging to; but I do propose something to get us out of our marasmus, instead of continuing to complain about it, and about boredom, inertia, and stupidity of everything.

   — Antonin Artaud, “No More Masterpieces”

Antonin Artaud (1896 - 1948): A man, a visionary, plagued by mental and physical illnesses his whole life, saw what no one else did during the birth of a new era. He was considered a pariah, his theories ridiculed, his work almost lost, had it not been for the precious few who aggregated his writings, letters, drawings and diaries. Artaud’s vision for a ‘mise en scene’ may have seemed ABSURD in the 1920s and 30s.

In 2011, without realizing it, we are witnessing its discovery.

During World War II and the Nazi Occupation of France, Artaud was placed in an asylum where he was given frequent electroshock treatments until his release in 1946. Artaud produced several additional writings and a radio drama in February, 1948. Two months later he died in a psychiatric clinic from a lethal dose of chloral hydrate.

I suppose that today, Twitter has set a special API limit for avid tweeting during the coverage early this AM, EST. Target network seem to be American US — like me — who were put in TWITMO after 60 min. — Wise decision to reserve room for folks across the pond.

Folks in the USA, at this moment, look like a bunch of Lemmings. Hemming and hawing across our meta-polarized, socio-politik landscape, one after one, in a line. Echoing and following poor rhetorical tacks, hyperboles and euphemisms; for some reason, this ongoing obsession with tea and reality tv leaves little room to wiggle outside the stereo-type.

Thanks for blocking my American hedonism, Twitter. Return to your normal programming already in progress. I get it. Just sucks for those who don’t suck when the world goes on and on about how all of us suck.
