Sorry, Mary Shelley

Technology sucks. So does being redundant.

Gives a new meaning to the Feminist Movement by placing the ‘A’ before it, which, etymologically speaking, nullifies the entire meaning of Feminism. Oops. But I think Mme Shelley would have appreciated the comedy of manners, don’t you?

That Is Our Lady

she is in the shadows that nobody sees

beneath the eyesight and in a corner in home long forgotten

i would not say that she wanders

she is worth enough despite the guarantee for payoff

she stays where it is warmer

whether it be her mind or the draft in the corner

and she will forgive, since forgiveness lives infinitely inside her

no regret

as the shadows cross her familiar face

and how we forget

in shadow frame the time away

and try to recognize the day

light breaks through the window

home can be so little

bits and pieces of the string

tied by the knots of fingers

holding on to something

Is it just me or is this loaded with imagery, multiple symbols in use?  #FEMINISM  #Art and what does it REALLY depict?

demons:

This is French combat photographer Catherine Leroy, photographed before taking off with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. At the age of 21, in1966, boarded a plane to Laos en route to the battlefields of Vietnam. Armed only with her camera, her wits and$100 in her pocket she had the ambition to become a world renown combat photographer.

During the time she covered the Vietnam War she shot some of the most iconic and brutal photographs to come out of the country. She was also wounded by shrapnel while covering a US Marine unit in the DMZ, only having been saved by her Nikon camera. In 1968 during the Tet Offensive she was taken prisoner by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA), and during her time of imprisonment she talked the NVA into being photographed.

She left the war with post-traumatic stress but kept covering war zones from Norther Ireland, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and more. She died in 2006.
