Of course, darling, I come only in dreams.
I always have come to you this way.
And I always will.
It’s the only way I can.
Do not blame me if you cannot remember when you wake up.
That is your burden and not mine.
If there was another way, an easier way, a better way,
don’t you think I’d use it?

There is none.
I hope, for your sake, you’ll learn to remember.
So many never learned.
They all went mad, eventually.
There was nothing any one could do to help them.
Poor souls.
Imagine wanting so much to say something important,
knowing in your gut the way to do it and then,
out of your mouth come words others hear as gibberish.
But to you, they mean something vital.
~
And yet, no one will listen or even hear the effort to communicate.
Instead, they laugh at the nonsense.
They clamor to examine your diseased mind.
~
More and more, the truth fades far away
and as time goes on, the gulf becomes so much,
it swallows the mind, heart and soul.
~
You will drown in it, unless you can do what they could not.
~~
Remember. Do not forget to remember.
~~~
